Posted FreshPrivacy policy
In short: Posted Fresh collects no personal data, has no account and no servers, and sends nothing anywhere. Your job history and application tracker stay in your own browser.
Posted Fresh is a Chrome extension, made by Lavkush Kumar, that helps job seekers judge whether a job listing is current and genuine. This policy explains what it does with information.
Information we collect
None. Posted Fresh does not collect, receive, share or sell any personal information, browsing history or page content. It contains no analytics or tracking code, makes no network requests of its own, and does not load remote code.
Information stored on your device
To work, Posted Fresh saves the following in Chrome’s local extension storage on your computer only:
- Viewing history of job listings: the job title, company, site, listing ID, address and the dates you viewed it, so reposted jobs can be detected. The most recent 4,000 listings are kept.
- Your application tracker: jobs you marked as applied, with the status you choose.
- Settings: such as whether to show the score card and when to flag an application as likely ghosted.
You can clear your viewing history or delete all Posted Fresh data at any time from the extension’s settings. Uninstalling the extension also deletes it.
Websites the extension reads
Posted Fresh runs automatically only on job listing websites (job boards and company career page hosts). There it reads the job listing you are viewing (title, company, posting date, pay, description and similar details) to calculate a score in your browser. On other websites it reads a page only when you click “Check this page”. It never clicks, applies, or collects listings in bulk.
Permissions
- Storage keeps your history, tracker and settings on your device.
- Active tab and scripting let you score a job on any site when you click “Check this page”.
- Access to job websites lets Posted Fresh show the score next to listings automatically.
Children
Posted Fresh is a job-search tool and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
